Dave Muskin
Dave is an incredibly talented photographer. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a website, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. My recent portrait of him, pictured above, will be incorporated into Dave’s bio in his upcoming book titled ‘Women.’
I should mention that Dave is also the owner of Davidson’s Distillery, my favorite bar in Reno and by far the best venue for bands. It’s where The Grannies play when they come to town, and The Flesh Hammers often perform there as well.

Had to satisfy my urge to get out of the basement and take a photo just for the hell of it, so I was roaming 4th Street at some ungodly hour this morning. I love Reno. It’s just so damn classy!
Fashion in the Nevada Desert - Individual photo #4
One of my favorite photos from that day…everything came together at just the right time. Lighting, model, and sunset…

I like how the curves of her body and clothing contrast with the rock outcropping in the background.

We had an excellent set of models. Can you believe that for most of them, this was their first photo shoot?

Well, post-production is finally complete. A lot went into these images as far as colour correction and dodging/burning/HDR techniques. I had a very specific idea of how the final images would contrast the colour of the garments with that of the desert landscape, and the end result is quite close to what I envisioned. These are the group photos…individual model shots to follow. More images after the jump.

Reno fashion designer Erica Tavormina’s work is textured and beautiful, providing a nice complement to the Nevada desert. This was a great photo shoot. As soon as the editing is done I will be posting more.
The Grannies - SF Gig Poster
Always nice to see my work being put to use, especially by a rockin’ punk outfit like The Grannies.

Best of Northern Nevada 2008

The Reno News & Review, our local weekly paper, has a “Best Of” contest every year. Today, upon opening the paper, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I’ve received Best Filmmaker for the third year! Looks like I’d better get The Addict released soon…
