This is the very beginning of a new photo series. I’m working in partnership with talented makeup artist Summer Casse. We have many more images in the works. This image was really just a make-up test, but it gives an idea of what is in store.

Well, post-production is finally complete. A lot went into these images as far as colour correction and dodging/burning/HDR techniques. I had a very specific idea of how the final images would contrast the colour of the garments with that of the desert landscape, and the end result is quite close to what I envisioned. These are the group photos…individual model shots to follow. More images after the jump.

We did a last-minute photo session in my new studio over the weekend. Actually, this was the first shoot in the new space. It was nice to have more lighting options than on location.

I finished this series some time ago while photographing smoke in my studio. I found the various elements from the photos to be quite interesting and was able to combine them to create some rather sinister imagery.
