Wet plate collodion is a photographic process dating back to the mid 1800’s. It’s a very unique process that involves coating either a plate of metal or glass with light-sensitive chemistry and exposing it in a large-format camera while still wet. The resulting prints are commonly referred to as tintypes, or ambrotypes for prints on glass. We’re excited to be the only photo studio in Nevada to offer authentic tintype portraits.
